Jim Benzie
Chief Engineer
Jim Benzie is a Mechanical Engineer who came to Arconas in 2005 as Chief Engineer. He has extensive experience in custom machinery, electronics and telecommunications as a Mechanical Engineer, Project Manager and Engineering Manager. He graduated from the University of Waterloo and has studied additional technical and business topics at York University and the University of Toronto.
Since joining Arconas Jim has lead the Engineering function. He spearheaded the ongoing development of the major product lines (Flyaway, Bernù, Landings, Setz) and developed the new products (eg. – Connex Curve, Bernù Aero, inPower™, inPower™ Flex). He designs the many specials that our customers use to adapt our products to their specific needs. He also works with our outside designers to ensure that their elegant designs are manufacturable and as robust as our customers need.
Jim is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered with the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).
