Arconas Products – Cleaning and Disinfecting Guidelines

In order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we prepared the following guidelines, recommendations, and reminders for cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance of our furniture:

  • Please always follow cleaning and disinfection guidelines from local health authorities.
  • IATA released a document with recommendations and guidelines for airport cleaning and disinfection. You can find the document in the link below:

  • Upholstery: Wash with mild soap and warm water. A 10% solution of household bleach and 90% water can also be used for disinfection. Rinse well and wipe dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners or chemicals. Surfaces can be scratched by vigorous rubbing.
  • Polyurethane Seats and Arm Pads: Wash with mild soap and water. A 10% solution of household bleach and 90% water can also be used for disinfection. Rinse Well and wipe dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners or cleaning pads because part surfaces can be scratched by vigorous rubbing.
  • Extruded Aluminum Beam: Wash with mild soap and water. Rinse Well. Do not use abrasive cleaners or cleaning pads to protect the anodized finish.
  • Aluminum Castings: Wash with mild soap and water. Rinse Well. Do not use abrasive cleaners or cleaning pads to protect the satin and bright polished finishes.
  • Powder Coated Parts: Wash with mild soap and water. Rinse Well. Do not use abrasive cleaners or cleaning pads to protect the powder coated finishes.
  • Wood: Wood seats and surfaces must be cleaned with non-abrasive cleaners. Soapy water or ammonia-based cleaners will remove most dirt and stains.

In the event of uncertainty or requiring the use of specific anti-bacterial or disinfectants, please contact your Arconas representative to verify the compatibility with your products.

Caution – If you use any other cleaning products, please ensure that they are safe to use on upholstered, wood, or polyurethane surfaces. Try the product first on a hidden surface and check for fading of the colors and damage to the surface.
