Bernù® Aero Public Seating at DHS Houston

Bernù® Aero public seating brings comfort to visitors at the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) office in Houston, Texas.

For ten years DHS has been installing Arconas’ public seating in their offices across the United States; including subsidiary branches for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The Houston branch installed some 400 Bernù® Aero seats, demanding a seating capacity that most international airport holdrooms would typically see. DHS chose Bernù® Aero as their seating standard for several reasons that places performance, aesthetics, and environmental aspects at the top of the list. With it’s solid die-cast aluminum parts, sleek design, and easy installation Bernù® Aero is also the seating standard for many airports and carriers such as Southwest Airlines.

It’s design aesthetic lends a fashionable edge for applying multi-colour fabrics to its seats. Seen here, DHS randomly applied red fabric on the seats and backs to add a pop of colour in the waiting area. A savvy way to keep interiors bright and fresh without having to repaint walls or change the carpet tile.
