General Manager

THIS IS A NEWLY CREATED POSITION.

The General Manager is responsible to manage the day-to-day business operations of Arconas’ Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Distribution, IT, and Customer Service teams, maintaining, building, and modeling a great corporate culture, providing inspired leadership, and setting a course of strategy, through an entrepreneurial management style.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Distribution operations, IT, and Customer Service teams
  • Work with reporting departments to determine values and mission, and plan for short- and long-term goals
  • Provide inspired leadership
  • Make high-level decisions about policy and strategy
  • Will project manage complex customer orders
  • Create an environment that promotes great performance and positive morale
  • Oversee the area of responsibility’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, auditing, and capital allocation
  • Providing accountability to and receiving from the senior management team, to meet company objectives and goals
  • To provide innovation and improvement through a systematic approach to deliver solutions
  • Identify and address challenges and opportunities for the company
  • Develop and drive a high performing team through effective use of coaching, open feedback, and Performance Management process
  • Ensure objectives and focused development plans are in place for each department
  • Develop strong internal and external relationships with a focus on continuous improvement, innovative outcomes, and business performance
  • Drive strategy, direction, and decision making

Qualifications

  • MBA, combined with a relevant bachelor’s degree (IT, Engineering, Operations Management, etc.)
  • 10-15 years of experience in a senior management/leadership position.
  • An experience that has touched on aspects of manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, supply chain, and/or IT
  • Having a process-oriented methodology to accomplishing the organizational goals
  • Strong operations experience with a business acumen
  • Knowledge of profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow management and general finance, and budgeting, with a strong sense of financial indicators
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among Arconas reports, clients, and suppliers
  • Strong expertise in maximizing ERP systems, and other enterprise systems – CRM, etc.
  • Prior exposure to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, as well as Lean manufacturing practices, would be an asset
  • Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively and delegate
  • Ability to create long term & short-term goals for areas of responsibilities
  • Have a very strong entrepreneurial drive
