A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 flight to Cancun Mexico on Oct. 15th, 2015 was the first flight from the new Southwest international concourse at Houston Hobby Airport (HOU).
Arconas worked together with Southwest Airlines to supply over 900 Bernu® Aero seat positions and some 350 inPower™ Flex modules. Bernu Aero units also feature a new armrest with integrated drink holder, that offers passengers the flexibility to sit-back, eat, drink, and recharge their electronics from the comfort of their seats.
The Southwest-financed $156 million concourse marks the first time the airline has had a major airport facility dedicated to international operations. In addition to Cancun, Southwest has started daily service from HOU to Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta and San Jose del Cabo/Los Cabos in Mexico; Belize City, Belize and San Jose, Costa Rica. From Nov. 1, Southwest plans to launch service from HOU to Liberia, Costa Rica and Montego Bay, Jamaica.
