John Neufeld was an impressive, active, and engaged man from a young age. He built his first houses as a teenager, began a tool & die-making career and completed his engineering degree at night school while looking after his family. He rapidly rose in the furniture industry as a professional engineer and went on to found Arconas in 1972, where he remained involved for 30 years until he sold the company in 2002.
John was a loving and devoted husband of the late Frieda, a cherished father of Kathryn Hubley (Steve), Christine Derksen (Tim) and Paul Neufeld (Ilona). He was a very proud grandfather of Keith Hubley (Lauren), Phil Hubley (Theresa), Rachel Miller (Jeff), Madeleine Neufeld, and Isabel Neufeld, as well as a great-grandfather to Jackson, Naomi, Ethan, Liam and Levi. He was a dear brother of Kurt and their late sisters Louise and Elvira.
John’s legacy of honesty, integrity, and innovation remain at the core of Arconas’ values.
We extend our condolences to the Neufeld family.
