Arconas’ senior management recently made a visit to the Portland International Airport (PDX) to view progress on the installation of its Flyaway seating series. PDX is a recognized industry leader in providing world-class customer service and amenities to its passengers and this installation is part of an extensive refresh project being undertaken by the airport. PDX employed a combination of both linear and cluster Flyaway seating in Concourses B, C and D as well as in the ticket lobby, customs hall and baggage claim areas. The seating is upholstered in Majilite faux leather in “Blueberry” to perfectly complement the blue accents of PDX’s signature carpeting.
Arconas also supplied more than 300 inPower Flex modules to achieve PDX’s goal of providing widespread power to its passengers. The inPower flex features duplex AC receptacles and two USB ports, allowing passengers to charge their devices from the comfort of their seat. Flyaway seating was also installed at PDX in 2013, 2014, and 2015.
