We are now on a determined path to growth, which will lead to great opportunities for both personal and professional advancement. We are looking for a detailed and self-directed Customer Service Representative.

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for generating sales quotes and processing order entries within an on-time and accurate environment, and serving as an alternative for internal and external department requirements/support through an elevated level of professionalism and service attitude.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Enter and accurately update customer information (W9 & Tax Exempt), orders, and other relevant data into the company's database or order management system
  • Generation of sales quotes and order entry processing within an on-time and accurate environment
  • Distribute quotes & orders with appropriate parties (Account Managers, or directly with customers)
  • Assist Account Managers or customers with quote/ order inquiries, review large project layouts at the quoting stage, provide product information, inform customers of order delays, and resolve any issues or complaints in a friendly and professional manner
  • Confirm the order ship to address with Account Managers or directly with customers before shipping
  • Backup on service orders and RMA
  • Create a freight purchase order and link it to orders
  • Approve small orders under $10,000.00
  • Identify and propose process improvements to enhance efficiency, streamline workflows, and optimize order processing operations
  • Backup for Arconas 'central telephone system
  • Other related customer service tasks, as assigned by the Customer Service Manager

Qualifications

  • College or equivalent education is an asset
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office software. Must have the ability work in an Excel environment
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Able to meet tight deadlines
  • Must have previous experience entering data in ERP accounting software
  • Knowledge in product quotation, entering orders for a manufacturing company
  • Experience in Accounting transactions is an asset
  • “Can-do” attitude and multitasking ability are essential for this position
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD layout or other design software is beneficial
  • Experience in the contract furniture industry will be considered an asset
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team

Working Conditions

  • Work is primarily performed in an office environment setting, or in a dedicated home office with reliable internet connectivity to support efficient and uninterrupted work, subject to managerial approval based on operational need
  • Dynamic, interactive, fast-paced environment

Physical requirements

  • Ordinary office setting physical demands, sitting, and working on a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds
  • At times, there may be a requirement to use a step ladder
