Arconas is on a focused path of growth—creating meaningful opportunities for both personal and professional development. We are seeking an experienced, trusted, and values-driven executive leader to serve as our Vice President, Finance & Operations.
This is a critical executive role responsible for leading Arconas’ financial strategy, operational performance, and business processes. The Vice President will provide strategic oversight and operational leadership across the Finance and Operations functions, ensuring strong financial governance and efficient manufacturing and distribution performance.
This position reports directly to the owners and plays a central role in strategic planning, operational execution, and long-term value creation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Leadership & Strategy
• Lead the development and execution of the company’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), and long-term financial modeling
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with Canadian GAAP accounting standards
• Manage risk assessment, internal controls, and financial governance
• Provide executive leadership with insights and recommendations to optimize profitability, cash flow, and capital structure
• Oversee audit processes, tax planning, and relationships with financial institutions and auditors
Operations & Process Management
• Lead manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain operations to drive efficiency, quality, and reliability
• Optimize end-to-end operational workflows, including production planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management
Champion lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead the financial oversight of inventory management, including valuation methodologies, costing strategies, and margin impact
• Establish standardized job order processes to improve accuracy, accountability, and workflow efficiency
• Champion lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure operational KPIs are established, monitored, and achieved across departments
• Direct capital investment planning for facilities, equipment, and systems improvements
Leadership & Team Development
• Provide direct leadership to the Finance Director and Operations Director, ensuring strong alignment between financial and operational goals
• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams
• Establish clear goals, KPIs, performance standards, and a culture of accountability
• Foster cross-functional alignment between finance, operations, sales, product development, and customer-facing teams
• Build and sustain a collaborative, process-driven, and data-informed organizational culture
Strategic Planning & Business Growth
• Serve as a key member of the executive team in shaping organizational strategy and long-term planning
• Evaluate opportunities for business expansion, cost reduction, and operational scalability
• Support pricing strategy, product costing, margin analysis, and commercial decision-making
• Lead systems integration and digital transformation initiatives to support growth
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field - MBA preferred
• Canadian CPA accounting designation
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in Finance, Operations, or combined leadership roles
• Extensive experience in manufacturing or distribution environments
• Demonstrated success leading multi-functional teams and managing complex operations
• Strong financial acumen, including forecasting, modeling, cost accounting, and operational analytics
• Proven ability to design, implement, and sustain process-driven operational frameworks
• Experience with ERP systems and data-driven operational decision-making
• Excellent communication, leadership presence, and change-management capabilities
